"Great spot on the way to Assateague Island. We pulled in an saw alot of local cars. The menu is large ribs, chicken, pulled pork, fries hush puppies etc. Good mix of Carolina style and sweet ketchup based. My wife and I were impressed. We will be back again soon." Click HERE to read more! |

The food that these folks make is simply fabulous. Everything they serve is homemade, like you can remember your grandma making, and is absolutely delicious. We always eat here at least two times when we vacation in the Ocean City Area. Their ribs are simply out of this world. Click HERE to read more!! |

We were very please with the amount of food we got for the price. Smoker's Bbq Pit offer meal deals that come w/ several sides & cornbread. Extra Bbq sauce was added on the side so we could add as much as we liked. The ribs & sides were absolutely delicious! |

"Smoker's BBQ Pit, (on Route 611 off Route 50, West Ocean City, 410-213-0040, www.smokersbbqpit.com) has the best baby back ribs around -- just ask the local construction workers standing in line to get a slab." |

There is a GREAT barbecue place in West Ocean City - good food, rustic, country, real, inexpensive and serving nothing stronger than sweet tea - everything a barbecue place should be. It's also full of kids. Great pork sandwiches, barbecued chicken, fried chicken and ribs too + tasty sides. It's called Smoker's BBQ Pit and it's just across the bridge in West Ocean City on Stephen Decatur Highway about 2 blocks south of Rt 50. Highly recommended. Go now they close in October for the winter. |

Smoker's BBQ in West OC has great BBQ. Both the Pit Beef and the Pork BBQ just melt in your mouth! I never liked BBQ until I tasted their sauce! They make homemade everything! The bean soup was very tasty! Prices are extremely reasonable! Definitely worth the trip! Enjoy! |
Best BBQ in DC Area?
|
I developed my taste for brisket while living in Texas, and although Dixie Bones in DC is not necessarily "texas style" BBQ, it's darn good. In my opinion it's the best BBQ in the metro DC area. Only place that can touch it is Smoker's in Ocean City, MD, but that's not a fair comparison since Dixie is a full-service restaurant. Check it out if you're in the area and don't waste your time on Famous Dave's, Red Hot & Blue, or Rocklands. [19 Sep 2002 15:22:04] |
